Offline mode in setting mean nothing

Just got invaded by a real player while my settings say I'm in offline mode with matchmaking off and restricted summoning and yet I was still invaded and it even shows the steam player on my recent.

You need to reload the game if you only just changed it.

It was a player, steam says he invaded me like 5 mins ago

that was an npc invader. these still invade even when you play offline. check if the game says "offline" in the upper left corner of title screen. if it does it was an npc invader. your online settings mean nothing at all. if youre set to offline. YOU ARE offline. rest of settings doesnt apply at all then.

Said offline in top left so no NPC it was a real player

There is absolutely no way you can get invaded by a player while you aren't connected to the servers that facilitate connections between players.

if you aren't connected to the servers, you can have ZERO interaction with multiplayer, be it invasions or co-op.

this is the definition of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

it was an npc invader for sure. they are acting alot more like players so new people get confused all day long.

tell the area you where in when he appeared. that will be another proof then.

Or it could be the game didn't accept his interaction and was keeping him online anyways.
A simple glitch could explain it.

Or you could just keep acting like a tool...
