Depends, but some good melee weapons need faith more than intelligence.
Like nameless king's sword spear or sunlight warriors' sword.
The only high intelligence needed weapons is moonlight sword.

2nd, for now, miracles are much powerful than some magic now...but seems regulation 1.06 might buff magic.

If you want to PvP, you're better off going Refined Infused weapon and taking Dexterity. If you're talking PvE, both are good, but Sorcery has an easier start. Stat scaling in Dark Souls 3 is a lot different than in the earlier games and there's no really good halfway point to cutoff for INT/FAI except the softcap at 60. Going 40STR/60INT/FAI is 90 levels starting as a deprived, doesn't leave much room leftover for Vigor, Endurance or Vitality. Or even Attunement. Hybrid casters mainly want to go for a Raw infusion and weapon buffs so they don't have to put many points in the physical damage stats.

ye but the thing is i have 45 strength, 40 vigor, 35 endurance, 18 dex and 20 vitality and the remaining 15 points i want to put into faith or intelligence. I dont see my build as a caster but a strength with some faith

Faith for some gnarly weapon buffs and heals.
You can get dark weapon pretty early on and with lightning weapon you have something for every enemy.
Replenishment is great for keeping your health topped off so you can make good use of the ring that boosts your damage at full health.

Just don't count on getting any work done with offensive miracles.

Put them into DEX instead of wasting them in a stat that will do absolutely nothing. You can't even cast the Miracle weapon buffs with less than 30 FAI. Casting spells will seem pointless too since with 45 STR all your weapon attacks will deal three times as much damage as any of the spells you could cast.

Depends on the kind of buff that you want. Choose your buff and add points to whichever stat it needs and no more than the minimum requirement.

Faith has more "Utility' at least, because even with minimum faith investment, healing spells are more efficient for healing out of combat than using up estus. Plus spells that clear status effects like poison and bleed build up (It does nothing to curse build up though).

For example, even with just 15 Faith, the "Needs 10 faith" Heal Aid spell gives me backover 170 HP right now. The proper "Heal" spell (15 Faith needed) gives even more, but needs more FP to use.

While it is a tiny heal that needs more castings, it is much more efficient to use it to top off your health between fights, and still have FP leftover for weapon arts and utility spells. Leaving you with more orange healing estus for during fights.

I would also take at least 10 int on the side, if you have any interest in the Spook Spell. Which is a combination Safe Fall (no damage so long as it is not an automatic death distance) and silence spell.

There is also a safe fall ring, but that is basically at the halfway point of the game and involves an NPC who gets mad at you if you ever Respec.

EDIT: Also, heads up. They changed it so Miracle attacks now only deal their proper damage at point blank melee range, and lose a TON of damage if you treat your thrown lightning spear as, well, a thrown spear...

Damage miracles are at their best at 60FTH. Buff miracles are good at minimum requirements. Heals are heals, you can't go wrong with that.
