How Do I get the Black Knight Greatsword?

Does it only drop of the one knight in the road of sacrifices and if so what is the drop rate?

It only drops off the black knights that are holding onto one. The drop rate is quite vast with 400 item discovery.

Drops from any Black Knight wielding the sword. I think there are about 5? The one in Road of Sacrifices, one in Smouldering Lake, and 3 or 4 in Untended Graves. Im unsure about the drop rate. I got a couple when I was farming the entire set.

To be honest, I got the greataxe in 6 kills. My second greataxe took 3 kills. All at ~400 item discovery. So the greatsword version shoudn't be that difficult.

its not like ds1 in that regard XD i just made new chars just for that black knight sword in undead burg ahh to be op early game good times good times

I got the chestpiece,, sword and shield with base luck (Knight class) in 3 hours of farming today, took a break for the last couple hours, still farming it now for the rest of the armor set.

Equip avarice helm, crystal sage rapier, gold serpent ring +2 (or norm), and use a rusted coin. The +2 gold serpent ring boosted me to 410 item discovery.

No... You can get everything under 20 mins if you equip item discovery stuff, and farm at untended graves.

you will spend more then 3 hours on ears from silver ♥♥♥♥♥♥ so tired of that drop rate

I farmed the skeletons for the carthus greatsword for about 30 minutes before I gave up haha
