Snuggly Gave me Nothing
I hadn't traded with Snuggly until just now, but I assumed it worked the same as in Demons Souls and Dark Souls 1. Apparently not. I dropped the Coiled Sword Fragment in the nest, checked in case it gave you an item straight away, and then re-loaded. However there is no slab in the nest. Snuggly just continues to caw away asking for more items.

Did I ♥♥♥♥ up? Why would they not keep it the same?

Oh for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake, I did mess up. I used 'discard' to drop it instead of 'leave'. I cannot even put my frustration into words right now. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hell From, why.

Why did you reload. Edit: Plus, it's not snuggly, it's a different crow and it tells you when you exit the inventory if something is either pickle-pee or pump-a-rum, or if it isn't.

Is there any way to go get this thing back? I basically just threw away another titanite slab. That ♥♥♥♥ ain't cheap.

Hmm.. I don't know why, but I can't bring myself to giving away my everlasting homeward bone for just another slab. At least, not until I can get another one.

Hmm.. I don't know why, but I can't bring myself to giving away my everlasting homeward bone for just another slab. At least, not until I can get another one.
I hardly use homeward bones anyway. I've only bought maybe 5 or so from the Handmaid and I have over 40 on me.
Another maxed-out weapon just seems like a better trade.
Also I reloaded because you used to have to reload for your item to appear.

Well, to the guy's defense, it's a bit confusing when you have both a "leave" and a "discard" option. I've probably made that mistake before, though I probably used something a little less valuable to be sure I'm doing it right. :P

I didn't play DS2 enough to really figure any of this stuff out. Honestly, I don't think I every really used Snuggly in 2 at all. Whereas I've dropped many hundreds of hours in DeS and DS1 each and used Snuggly a lot (duplicating White Arrows in Shrine of Storms, anyone?)
Sorry, I just expected consistency, especially if all that 'DS2 B-team' stuff was true. You'd expect the lead team to be consistent, then.
