Found out how to walk in lava.

Use a Dragon Crest Shield, the one with 89% fire resistance, hold block while entering the lava, and it will block the fire damage. However, once you pick up an item or drop shield, you can't reshield to block the damage.

Huh, this only works on the lava under the bridge w/ the Black Knight.

A pyro spell and something else cant remember clearly, had to get it for all sorceries achievement which I have =P

I just used the sweat pyro that gives fire resistance, and the fire resistant ring, then just run and chug 2 estus in a row when health is below 20%. You need 10+ estus xD

Maybe with fire resistant armor is easier.

And i didnt know blocking works... at least it saves you health while going for the item, and you only have to heal while going back

The one under the bridge had Sacred Flame, and this other item. The one in the long hallway has Toxic Mist (not sure) and a White Hair Talisman, I think that's what it's called.

There's a tome earlier in the level. Couple of tomes now that you mention it.

Carthus, Izalith, Grave Warden, and the Female Pyromancy Tome.

The tomes can be reached without going through lava. One is behind an illusory wall (that also leads to the lava room apparently) the other is in a chamber near the bonfire that you first encounter if you blow a hole in the lake.
