Will using a trainer offline get me banned?

Like, something as simple as just adding souls and items? Not actually tweaking stats or anything?

I'd like to test what I can do with this game, but after i'm done i'd like to play normally online and not get banned for having a character with a couple extra souls than i actually earned.

Is there rules on this yet? Or is it like the old games where they just ban anyone they feel like while leaving rampant cheaters all over the servers?

here is what i know.
cheats cannot be detected if you play offline, however once you go online again, the game can detect you have cheated, for hacked items or soul level.

cheating isn't worth it.

Just trying to defeat the Dancer at SL25 and it's exhasperating... This is my 4th run and I'm trying to make a "good" cleric build. So, that's why I was asking, the good/offensive miracles are so far in the game that the only way to make it viable is to kill Dancer early in the game.

If only swordmaster's glitch still worked... :(

The Game tracks Souls earned, spent and lost. So long as they match up you're golden. The game has no way of verifying whether or not you farmed a dozen covenant items or duped them if you've done so offline. Basically if it isn't blatantly obvious and is all done offline you should be fine.

Pfff, yeah, as if you won't give in the temptation at one point. You probably haven't even finished the game once, and already want to cheat. Another one who infests the game.

If you just use Infinite HP/MP to beat Bosses offline nothing will happen even when you go online later w/o Trainer.

finish the game completely, at NG++ with all the rings and as many spells, weapons and armors that you can. then backup your save and start testing builds with infinite rebirths at rosaria.

u will only get banned if u add souls but if u add consumable souls u wont get banned tho and dont tweak stats and u will b fine it works same like in ds2

I usually do that with every Souls game, I mean, after I have spent a lot of hours playing normally, I always end up making a run offline at max possible level (adding consumable souls with a trainer) to test how powerful can your character become. After that, I delete that save and restore my normal savegame to continue playing online with no cheats.

What do you mean by that? so suppose someone uses trainer for HP and MP ONLY and kills the boss, would that user be banned for it, what about the souls gain?
I mean, if the trainer user ONLY uses infinite HP and MP while offline... gains gained normally is ok?

Why? my question is pretty legitimate in the sense that its not trolling.

Whether I do it or not is irrelevant, considering its a legitemate question to a subject stated.

You're asking about cheats/hacks which is a no-no on the forums. Doesn't matter if its hypothetical, any discussion about cheating can get you banned, and pretty swiftly I should add since the new moderator has been around

1-Hit kill, infinite health(stamina, fp) will not get you banned. Even if you play online with these cheats. Cheats like adding souls, adding items will get you banned online. Bottom line is - if you use cheats like adding items or infinite souls, do it offline, and don't go online after you do that. Backup your save, start fresh, and you will be good to go.
