I'm thinking of starting a pyro build at the moment, and I was just wondering how strong this was compared to a dedicated pyromancy flame? I mean I'm expecting SOME drop but how bad is it? Would be kinda useful to have the pyros and some miracle buff/heals.

It's strictly worse than the pyromancy flame, and since the flame weighs nothing, the only reason you'd ever use the White Hair Talisman is if you're out of weapon slots.

It's best used for Dark Pyro spells (NOT Chaos). Everything else is stronger with an upgraded pyromancy flame. So if you're doing a pure pyro build and using dark pyro spells, you'd definitely want to have both fully upgraded.

Why use a talisman for pyromancy anway? At best, you can maybe use the talisman poise buff for sacred flame, though your damage will be ♥♥♥♥. It's not as good for dark as the sunless talisman for a pyro/hex build ,too.

Well I knew it'd be stronger with the pyro flame, that just makes sense. It's just, if the difference is really really REALLY bad then yeah, I'd stick with pyro flame and use a chime in my offhand I guess. Also hmmmm didn't really consider the dark pyro spells, could be fun lol
Like I said, it makes sense in THEORY if I wanted say, pyros and the heals/buffs - but in practice the consensus seems to be a big ol' nope lol

Yet all your actual spells are weaker. I'd rather use iron flesh if I really need poise.
