For pyromancies you need to level both Int/Fai.
You can use both on your weapons and check your AR and see which one is higher.
*cough* blessed weapon *cough*
Then you need to look at situations. enemies weak to fire take more from CFA, and enemies weak to magic take more from CMW. CMW only lasts 60 seconds, and takes a staff to cast, which weighs more. CFA lasts 90 seconds and the pyro glove is weightless. CFA is more reliant on stats, as it doesn't scale off of the pyro glove's bonus, and only scales off of int and faith, while CMW scales off of your staff's spell buff.
hope this helps.
For Carthus Flame Arc:
The attack rating applied scales with the power of your flame.
A good choice for melee characters looking for bonus damage with minimal INT/FTH investment, but still scales well as a melee damage source for dedicated pyromancers. Though Crystal majic weapon and lightning/darkmoon blade will scale better unless you increase both INT/FTH equally.
