Okay so, I know he vanishes after you beat four bosses but don't give him a scroll, which is apparently what I did. I built my character for sorceries though, is there anyway to get him back? Or to find the spells he would've sold?

You should probably just restart.

He vanishes after you beat the abyss watchers if you dont give him a scroll before that iirc

No way around it then? I'm really close to the end of the game, and restarting would just feel stupid at this point

just beat the game and go to NG+

same thing happened today to me, im done with magic, fnck dark souls 3, only viable gameplay os medium swords and pyromancy gg from software gg

I have a sorcerer and it works just fine. Just don't promise to provide npcs with scrolls and then decide to not bother.

What if i didn't find him at all, have defeated the abyss watchers, and go to his place and search for him? will he still give me a shot of giving a scroll or he will just not be there, or leave immediatly after i talk to him? sucks big time to restart @ sl 45 but oh well wb dark souls

I was seeing his shop from downstairs but couldnt reach him until today cause I thought the entrance to that 2nd floor must be farther away.. the thing is, I beat all the bosses got the second ending but did not start second run yet and he is still there to recruit asking me to make a promise or not. I think I dont have any scrolls left to give him in this run. (abyss watchers was my second or third cinder boss) edit: so I promised him to provide scrolls and he left for the shrine. I followed him and was able to give him all four scrolls reserved for him apparently. but bear in my mind that I screwed up yoel an yulia quest by neglecting yoel so he died and yulia never appeared.
