I find it worthless, due to the fact youre in one shot territory at 20% and with how spammy things are thats a little risky

Should go back to demon souls and use the clever rat ring+Morion blade combo. You were in one shot range, but you would do 5500 dmg with a +10 halberd. It was silly and made PvP hilarious. They watched you equip the katana to drain your HP and then you fought them with 20% and hidden power.

Given you have four ring slots now instead of two, it makes sense that a lot of rings would be less powerful than they were in previous Souls games. Whether that 20% attack power is enough is up to the individual though I suppose.

try combining the tearstone with denial and power within, then just pick a weapon to your taste, chaos blade, morian blade or bloodlust would be ideal

Yes at 20% you are in the one shoot territory, but no other ring would fix that...
Personally i like to use the loyd's sword ring when full hp then switch it to red tearstone when i took a hit and have a little bit of time to do so.

Actually it varies, 50% being The lowest and 150% being The highest (according to wiki).
