What awaits, and what changes?

Harder enemies, new rings, and more souls, essentially.

Enemies have more health, damage and give more souls. you can get +1 versions of rings and the rest of the boss soul weapons you weren't able to get the first time around.

basically it's for achievements.

Journey 2 is NG+

And a lot of people are saying it is NOT worth it.
Unless you missed some Questlines or missed some items or are going for achievements.

It resets the game to the beginning, you keep everything you have, but now everything is harder.

No new ennemies or new placement ? That's kind of lame...

Not a lot, honestly. Besides what was mentioned, NG+ (what everyone is going to call "Journey 2") is primarily used to reset NPCs, do questlines you missed, see alternative endings, etc.

That means nothing's new?
That's dissapointing, the previous games had reasons to play through more than once, right?

Well, I missed a couple of quest lines in my first run through. So, I'll be honest, I'm using a guide now for NPC quests so I don't miss out this time on getting the good (3rd?) ending. Enemies are harder, soul count is higher, most weapons and rings drop with a +1 attached to them. Most, not all mind you. It's harder for sure. Supposedly you can go all the way up to NG+10

It really isnt any harder, if you got a fully upgraded weapon it will be quite boring
Rogue Apr 26, 2016 @ 12:04pm
some mobs also drops weapon/armor that won't drop in NG.

? I haven't heard this. Do you have an example?

Should one let the herald heal the dark sign and use a purging stone before entering NG+? It's like 250k :)

You lose your dark sign when you go to ng+, I think.
Heretic Apr 26, 2016 @ 12:15pm
That is true, all of them, but perhaps it affects yoel and yuria's questlines if one didnt heal it before going back?

I'm already regretting ever starting NG+. I don't think it's worth it. And you need to play through the game like 4 times to get all achievements (master of rings for example)

I was going for all achievements, but I think I'll stop after this playthrough.

Just use a purging stone before starting a NG+, it'll remove your hollowing. Dark sigils won't carry over

Would it be more fun to just create a new save and play as a different class?
