help, overloaded, but can not sell items -- SOLVED, thanks!

I have an issue where I pickup items, like shields and sacred chimes, which are bogging me down and I seem unable to sell them. They don't show up in my inventory, Only when trying to equip left/right hand I see them appear, but I cannot drop, change or sell them.
I've tried both the handmaid and Greirat. Also the crow's nest doesn't allow me to see/drop these items. Am I missing something incredibly simple? No google-ing or forum search has helped me so far.

no, nothing picked up from other players. I noticed this already in the tutorial stage, with the very first sacred chime I picked up, but didn't think much of it. Now Im towing around lothric shields and chimes that I can't get rid of.

Are they equipped? What do you mean by bogging you down? chimes and shields each have their own inventory tab btw

Bogging me down as in overloading me. Those shields are heavy and I can't roll for ♥♥♥♥ with all that metal in my pockets

So you say it's normal they don't show in the weapons tab? then how do I get to them?

If they are not equipped they won't affect your weight/roll speed.
There more tabs than what you can see on the Sales page (RB or click on RB if youre with Keyboard/Mouse) to see weapon, inventory. (should be obvious, but maybe that's what you missed?)

Well, one, if they aren't equiped they can't "bog you down" you have infinite inventory weight. And two, when you go to sell these things are you going to the weapons/etc tabs? Your inventory is separated into categories, the first/one that is open first at traders is usable items like resins and firebombs. You have to switch the tabs to see any of the other stuff.

I see, seems like I missed that, it wasn't very clear to me how this works.
So that's not the reason I'm overloaded then.
Anyways, thank you for explaining. It may be obvious but I still managed to not get it :/

Being overburdened has nothign to do with items in your inventory, it is purely to do with equipped items load. If you are slowed yo need to change your equipped items to have a lower equipment load.

If they aren't equipped its probably something else bogging you down. In your stat sheet there's a "equip load" line. Try not to go over 70%
