lothric prince elevator shortcut

I went down on the elevator from prince and it took me to just outside of dragonslayer. I went to firelink came back went back up and died at the boss and now whenever I go to use the elevator it only goes down to where you get the titanite slab. It won't go back up to the boss.

It's the same kind of elevator like in a tower in Undead Settlement. Activate the elevator and run off, the bottom one will go down and the upper one will come to you.

First time I met Siegward, I had no idea how the lift worked. It took me a bit (maybe a death) but I figured it out. We’re used to having elevators go up and down and all around at the push of a button.

I literally watched it go up, saw the second button above his head on the other platform, and figured it out instantly. I didn't think this was actually an issue for some people. Not trying to say I'm better or anything, but i just kind of thought it was common knowledge if you were paying attention to the scene.
