should i ring the bell at archdragon peak?

I'd complete the whole area first, ringing the bell unlocks the true end boss \[T]/ Well, he's harder and better than the end boss.

why would i clear the area first? and why does a sign say "those who want to travel the path of a dragon should NOT ring the bell"

Because you might never beat the boss, and summoning him locks off a few areas and greatly decreases visibility in places.

When you beat the boss the area goes back to normal.

summon one phantom and kill him rather easily. solo its pretty rough but still doable
after you beat him .fog will vanish
