yorshka
she say the same thing (father gwyn and sister gwenevere) that gwyndolin did back in DS1 while joining his covenant.
it might be a sort of tradition, due to the covenant, or it might be something more family related.
some could think that seath was able to have a child which is priscilla, but when we met seath in DS1, his research turned him mad so i dont think he could, at a point had a second child.
Another point i want to underline, priscilla was a giantess, i believe because she might(i do believe so but not everyone do) be seath+gwenevere daughter so as a half daughter of a lord, she got a part of his power and her size.
Now if we take a look a yorshka, she is quiet similar to priscilla actually, she has scales, a tail and she has a very white skin. but unlike priscilla, she is small and she seems to be really weak (look a her arms and face).
At this point, nothing let us think she could be related directly with seath.
An hypothesis about her frail apearance could be that she is gwyndolin daughter(he is a male and is born disformed with womanly trait) and her dragon part could be that her mother would be priscilla. this way we would have.
-the father: gwyndolin
that give us a reason about her appearance and her link with the darkmoon covenant.
-the mother: priscilla giving at this point a reason about yorshka half dragonic appearance(+white skin and same tail as priscilla)
then i'll give some further information that can hold my point, in DS1, gwyndolin is the last god living in anor londo but a few meters away from his father's tomb lay the painted world of ariamis in wich priscilla has been exiled/locked away.
maybe something could have happened beetween ds1 and before ds3 setting priscilla off the painted world where she met gwyndolin in anor londo.(both of them lived in almost total reclusion because of the other gods)
and to apply my Gwyndolin+priscilla shipping i will tell you that when you kill Aldrich(devourer of gods who has the gwyndolin's body cause he ♥♥♥♥♥♥' ate him) he drop his soul and it unlock you 2 souls transposition.
the first one is the gwyndolin's bow and the second one (you see it coming right?) if the lifehunt spell which was the reason priscilla got locked up in the painted world, cause she was the only one to own such a power able to harm the gods(lords) themselves.
we can deduce at this point that Aldrich not only ate gwyndolin, but also priscilla. did he crossed the ariamis's painted world to find her? did the painted world hold a few thousand year left alone without any one to prevent him from being "broken" or did aldrich found her because she was with gwyndolin, living at his side on the remain of anor londo.
take a last look at the lifehunt spell. it says "Aldrich dreamt as he slowly devoured the God of the Darkmoon. In this dream, he perceived the form of a young, pale girl in hiding"
this is my last point. Aldrich, as he devoured gwyndolin saw a young pale girl, hiding. i dont know what you think about it but I, think he perceived the last thougt of gwyndolin, aimed to his beloved daughter, Yorshka.
I also believe that The Dancer of the Boreal Valley is the Lord's Blade Ciaran, Perhap's the Pontiff Sulyvhan Found Ciaran's Soul or Armour and Weapons and binded them to a cursed knight's Soul and created an armoured beast.
your theorie is not bad and i really like the part about Ciaran, and that's true that i didnt saw the dancer as Ciaran even though we can see some similarity. the Dancer weapons are dealing physical, magic and fire damage while ciaran tracers were dealing physical and physical+ toxic damage(aux effect for the silver tracer). so i dont think ciaran is the dancer but maybe you're right, and the dancer was based on Ciaran.
i dont want to assume too much about irithyll stuff because i still dont understand everything about that part, i'll try to figure out a little more during my next run. :)
i'm glad there is such a post about DS lore, that the main reason i'm playing the souls serie :)
people, we have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of stuff to understand, and I ♥♥♥♥'n love it!
I also dont believe Dancer is Ciaran. The Pontiff gifted her her swords, she didnt have them originally. She is likely just a reference to Ciaran and maybe the Pontiff knew about the Lord's Blades of legend and made similar swords.
In all seriousness, I'm gonna sub to this thread and lurk for a while reading peoples' theories, and I'll comment if I have to.
Reincarnation seems to be a big thing in the Souls games.
I mean look at Seeth.
He went from giant albino tentacle dragon to giant spider.
It's quite possible Ciaran's soul (or part of it) was reincarnated into the Dancer without her retaining her memories.
I'm still trying to see if there's a link between Aldrich and Aldia.
They both experimented with the concept of immortality and looked for ways to deal with the curse of Undeath.
It feels like there should be something there...

I'd also like to debunk the Shiva = The Swordmaster theory.
Yes you find the Chaos Blade (which is what Shiva was searching for) where Swordmaster was standing in Dark Firelink, but the Easterner's Ashes are explicitly stated to be his.
Right now, I'm still gathering evidence to support my "The Painted World melded with Anor Londo to form Irythill' theory.
No, the soul pf cinder are ALL the lords of cinder (that obviously didn't appear already in the game, like yhorm). That includes all of us. That's why he attacks with str swords, agi swords, spears, magic, pyromancies and miracles. As to be fair with most builds made during our gameplay. And at last, in his last phase, the gwyn part of the soul takes hold of the body, since he was the first to link the fire and the strongest of all
that make sense, i'll think about it again :)
now the question i'm asking to myself is. who is yorshka's brother? anyone have found something about him?
i just killed yorshka to get her chime before goind ng+ and while dying she says " dear brother, forgive me".
while reading the yorshka's chime description it is said that it was a present from her brother, the former knight captain. but i didnt find anything else about him (didnt really looked for either), i'll read the item description in french while playing because while using the wiki, i feel like i'm not understanding everything in english.
if by "former knight captain" they mean gwyndolin(which was the first darkmoon leader), my mind going to blow up...
Who knows, maybe it was gwyn who ♥♥♥♥♥♥ priscilla. Incest ftw.
Or maybe it was those of us who joined the darkmoon covenant in ds 1 (doesn't make much sense, but hey, there were some peple with a lot sinners killed, should have been promoted)
if you use the patches squat gesture as a crab charges you, they become friendly/neutral and leave you alone as they think you are the great crab lord, or another crab brother who came from a land borne mother.
