why is wrath of the gods so crap in this game
5 seconds casting time and it gets interruped easily too
how are you supposed to use this miracle properly in pvp?

Well miracles, sorceries and pyromancy are nerfed hard after DS2 made them viable.

Well they're way better than DS1's magic. It had more variety and the stronger missile magic were better in DS2 than they are now in DS3.

In this game magic is slow, has no tracking and you cast it really slowly as well, and if you dont have 60 int you deal no damage. I had a full mage in DS1 for pvp and never had a problem with it being bad. Had a pyromancer in DS2 and had no problem with magic as well.

I ran a 45 Int/50 Faith build for a while, and it's not that glamerous. Miracles are just PvE now, for the most part. You can use some stuff to buff yourself, like Tears of Denial, but the majority of the offensive Miracles are meant to be used on brainless enemies tha won't dodge/roll.

In other news, anymore else think that the Crystal Chime is retardedly OP? It has stupid scaling on Int/Faith and is a dual-casting chime, which means I can cast Miracles and Sorceries. The only downfall is the lack of Dark damage, but you can ignore that damage branch completely now without gimping yourself.

The point isn't having high int/faith when it comes to this spell. The wind-up is SO SLOW even WITH high dex/sage ring etc and it projects "Please interrupt me!" so hard that even with high faith no one sane would use it. Even in pve, most enemies are just too fast to make use of it.

I find it a bit ironic that in a game where almost everything was sped up, the only thing that got slowed down was the magic.

It's actually only miracles that are this bad. Both pyromancy and sorcery are viable in PvE at least. Decent builds kill most enemies instantly, and even bosses get destroyed in few hits by well timed spells.

They cut corners in DS3 to meet their target release date. It's apparent across the board, from broken armor/poise, straight sword vs UGS, lack of variaty in certain weapon clases, and magic being almost completely omited. Not to mention the lack of dialog/npc interaction.

Timming pyromancies in this game is an art form in itself. Then you realize you barely do any dmg for all that effort, when the other guy just has to poke you with FUGS for half hp.

Not to mention how hybrid weapons have to undergo double resistance/absortion checks vs pure melee's single check.

DS2 was flawed, but it was vast and flushed out. I bet the DLC for DS3 will literally be stuff cutout, that didn't make the cut.

By the way did they actually announce a DLC or are people just assuming there will be one?
