So I just beat Yhorm, and then the Dancer comes out?
Does that mean that there is no way to rest or use the souls from Yhorm before facing the Dancer, I just lost 30000 souls, and how the hell do i get back to the Dancer!?
Just woke up in some dark room with an old woman, and then he came and raped me?
Where is that room?

Go to Vordt's bonfire and then go back instead of the Settlement. There will be like two Lothric Knights guarding it.

That room is back in Lothric, right across from Vordt's arena.

So there is no way to save the souls earned from Yhorm? Other than beating that Dancer first try?

Find a safe spot and use homeward bone

If you want to get your souls back from the boss room without fighting you can grab them and then quickly use a homeward bone.

When you get teleported to the cathedral you can literally just walk out the door to the Vordt bonfire. I'm sure of it because that's what I did. 'Course, if the boss is there now, with your fallen souls, then you'll have to recover your souls and beat it.

You need to bail out of the room as soon as the cutscene finishes otherwise the fight starts. Now you just need to jump in there and homeward bone out asap.

Trust me don't cry over 30k souls, lost 230k just today over a fall in the catacombs

+1

The cutscene with the dancer is triggered by getting to close to the statue you're supposed to interact with.
30k souls is literally nothing.

Same exact thing happened to me. I just approached the alter and thought i was about to read a message, then BOOM boss fight. The it was my first playthrough, and I had no idea where I had just been teleported to.

Also, if it's not too late, ring of sacrifice

There are quite a few ways actually:

- The most obvious one is to just beat the Dancer on your first try
- Die to the Dancer, get back in, grab your Souls and beat her second/third/whatever try. That plus 1-2 levels won't help you that much anyways.
- Homeward bone/Homeward miracle out (not having a safety homeward for the "nope, ♥♥♥♥ that" situations is a big mistake. You can also have an infinite homeward item after the dancer, so it'll be only useful in NG+ for this encounter
- Ring of Sacrifce
- Just walk out of the room before activating the fight

And just stop worrying about souls. They come and go, if you stress out about them, you will not enjoy the game nearly as much as if you just stopped caring about them. I need around 220k for one level up and I usually run around with 400-500k, not giving the slghtest ♥♥♥♥ if I lose them or not.

I strongly suggest againt using glitches and whatnot on your first playtrough - you are destroying your own fun by cheesing trough the game :)
