Do Covenants reset?

Hi, I'm fairly new to Dark Souls so I'm not the most informed player. I was just wondering, does covenant alliengence reset when you start NG+? I wanna collect all the spells but I don't want to stop progressing in the story just to level my covenant. Thanks in advance

nope. covenants are one time only stuff per character.

Oh ok thats cool. So if I reset, would I keep my covenant items as well or would I have to find each covenant again?

So (I haven't beat this one yet maybe its different but doubtful) when you beat the game and go into NG+ it resets everything in the game and starts it anew on NG+ mode, you keep everything you earned through your playthrough but the entire games reset, people you killed npcs etc come back, covenants reset progress etc. You get to keep whatever you earned though on your first playthrough.

you can keep covenant items and progress if you new game plus or use a tongue at the fingers shrine to reallocate stat points or redo appeareance (only 5 times per game resets every new game +) if you make new character then no you have to restart everything.

^This is what I mean by your "reset" comment.
Going into NG+ keeps your Covenant level as it was in your current playthrough.

I've a question - how does this affect Sirris? Joining the Fingers nulls her questline, no?

It does, but in NG+ as long as you don't touch the Fingers she will be fine. Just to be safe.

Oh, so even though you're in the covenent it doesn't actually register in NG+ until you put the Fingers on? That's a sigh of relief, I was sittin' here thinkin' that was some huge oversight or somethin'.

By the Fingers I meant Rosaria herself but that works too I guess.

You can also kill captain Yorshka to get the covenant, and next playthrough sirris will be friendly.
