How good is the black knight glaive?

In pvp or pve? Any weapon is viable is pve, somewhat the same for pvp... The game is much more skill than people think.

Pretty solid weapon in general, but probably not the best black knight weapon in the game. If you like it, go for it. If not, one of the others might suit your fancy

With 40 str and 20 dex it does like 30% more damage than my dark sword but hits at less than half the speed

And yet it is incredibly harder to parry than the scrub sword.

Wow so much hate on the glaive one of my personal favourites for pvp and pve two handed only. Sweep range is very wide also if your using the knight slayer ring shield pvp'ers die really easily. Hard to master at first but is rewarding in a sense.

However if your looking for a damage weapon with better stats then this weapon is not for you its just for those that enjoy the weapon and can use it effectively. Also its a late game item for NG so you will probably find a better sword like the fume or dragon tooth mace.

Its up to you really play the game you want. Thats dark souls

Some friends and i were destroying invaders at Lothric castle today with these glaives. We got bored and decided just to host a fight club with Dried Fingers and have 1v1s. Pretty sure people are gonna be crying for nerfs on it too.

The normal glaive which you can purchase from Greirat is far better. It can be infused meaning i can put a heavy stone on it to change the STR scaling to B and you can cast weapon buffs on it. while the Black knight Glaive cannot have either with only D Str scaling with essentially the same moveset, making the normal glaive do way more damage than it.

40/40 stats it does 695 dmg at +5, with the FP buff that it can provide, dmg goes up to 765~. If that's not enough damage, consider yourself spoiled.

I use it for pvp with a hot-swap to another weapon.

It's very very viable if you learn how to chain combo moves.

I use BKGS and I like it a lot. How does it compare to the BKGA? The AR is 607 with my 40/35 build so I mostly ask for the moveset.
