How many hours to complete the game

I've heard that it takes 30-35 hours to complete the main game. im 38 hours into the game now, and I just opened up the elavator/shortcut from the Grand Archives to the rooftop. Pretty sure im close to the end. (right?)

I have killed every optinal boss so far. And explored everywhere. So I haven't rushed it, but im not very slow either. I kill most bosses in 1-3 tries. (I used a lot more time on Pontiff, Aldrich and Nameless King tho). I just cant help thinking about everyting some people must have missed out on :P

I havent done any NPC sidelines tho, I find them way too complicated sometimes. And not very rewarding, considering im not that into the lore

So how many hours are you into the game or how long did it take you to complete it..?

No I got them all. I did check to see which bosses were in which area. Also consider, I rolled two characters before I beat the game. I hated the first one, short sword build is stupid, always was to me and the claymore was worthless in this game. Sooo I rerolled and plowed through the game to get back to where I was at Boreal Valley...

So, there is that.

40 hours here on both playthroughs.
On the first playthrough having trouble with many bosses and on the second with pvp and completion of every side questline.

Yeah, sure you waste a lot of time in the beginning even if you are experienced with DS, so starting over sure shaves of some time on a complete playthrough. I just think some of the optional area's are so huge. Like Archdragon peak(think I spent maybe 3 hours here, not including my strugle with the boss here):P

I probably took 100 hours the first time I played. I am kind of a completionist though. I also was a little slow to the idea that you could just run thru places once you had already cleared it. But I think the run up to the boss is often funner than the actual boss.

I don't remember anything except for that it was too short and regretted killing the lord of cinder or whoever that last guy was. He was easier than Iudex Gundr I think. So disappointing. But maybe that's because it wasn't NG +3 or something.

Play the DLC too if you havent. Some of the hardest bosses in the series and add many hours to the game

I have 50 hours on my character and im still in the middle of the game...

my first playthrough took me 66 hours (killing SoC, no PvP) with exploring everything and getting all items, i STILL didn't even beat Nameless King. Be mindful, i used the Butcher Knife +10 for the entire game (i would highly advise against this for the later bosses).

I just finished my second playthrough this morning (killing SoC) in 18 hours, same deal. Granted i have Nameless King to deal with, but the build I used for this run was [sharp] Sellswords and it was a cakewalk.

Still love this game and will probably begin NG+

i found it to be quite short. i started a new playthrough after dropping the game many times and it took me about 10 hours to get to grand archives

I just beat it in 2 hours 49 minutes, including all bosses. So, it's that long, after some point!! There's a speedrunner that hits the game in 72 minutes! So, it's that long...lol But, my first playthrough was 16 hours, killing all bosses except Old Demon King. Weird how that works, isn't it? I'm also hearing people say on average that they beat it around 30-35 hours. It'll depend on skill and such, I suppose!
