What happened to the Shotel

Is it me or did they change how they work? It used to be that if you used its strong attack, it would act as if the shield wasn't there and do its full damage. I've noticed now, even with +9 shotels, against a shield it does like... 50 damage. The hell did they do to the shotel. How am I supposed to deal with turtles if the weapon made specifically to deal with turtles now does no damage.

I think the ignore shield attack is the Shotel's weapon skill now.
Meaning it requires FP, and two handing it, unless you have a special shield.

Use daggers with quickstep or blind spot. Use longswords with stances to break shields and counter attack them. Use kicks to break shields and counter attack them. Use Longbows with puncture to hit through the shields.

But yeah ... you're right. There doesn't seem to be ANY way except the Shotel for this Job ;)
