Another Soul Farm - 100k in roughly 2 mins (with pictures!)
Howdy!
So a brief intro- I'm a Sorcerer on my first New Game+ run, and after about half way through the game again, I decided to go back to a favorite farm of mine from my first playthrough to stock up on some items and a few more levels (need dat FP baaaad).
After tweaking some of my initial strategy, I was pretty pleasantly surprised by the results, so I thought I'd share, incase anyone else might be interested. But first, a few things:

- Yeah yeah, "Why farm?" "Git gud." Some of us don't care about PvP or multiplayer and just want to see how strong we can get, or need the crutch of that extra long HP bar (you try being so squishy, damnit!).

- The farm requires a bit of progress to the early-mid game. Specifically you need the Road of Sacrifices bonfire "Keep Ruins".

- The farm benefits most (read: really requires) a particular set of gear and build. The idea here being to maximize the amount of Souls that drop, and also for the speed of the mechanic behind it.

- The farm is totally legit, and does not take advantage of any exploit or glitch.

- My apologies if this has been shared before or is somewhat known, but so far all I've really seen mentioned is Anor Londo (another favorite spot, but honestly kind of a pain and a lot further into the game) and the Summoners in Archdragon (which kinda sucks for a non-melee and is sooooo far into the game).

So without further adieu.

Gear and stats are as such:

Some notes- my Medicant's Staff is unfortunately not maxed (got lazy and didn't farm souls for Chunks in my first playthrough), and my Silver Covetous is only the first rank. I had to swap to both Dragoncrest rings to get that extra bit of damage I needed for the technique to be viable. 60 Int is kinda hefty but imo, necessity.

Other notable pieces you obviously want are Symbol of Avaraice and Shield of Want.
If you have even higher ranks of Silver Covetous then you are golden (or silver? har), and I am jelly.

Why no Crystal Rapier or Gold Covetous? Simply put, the loot isn't worth the added amount of time tacked on to the farm. You want to be all about speed here.

The key component here, though:
The sorcery Soul Stream!

The spot:

You see here that I'm literally two steps from the Bonfire here. And that's the key. I have Soul Stream equipped and the most important thing to note is where I'm standing. You want to line up to the right hand side of the door and target the first satyr (caster that sprays poison) with the other one behind him on the left-hand side that uses a spear and shield.

And I think you get the idea of what happens next:

KABLOOEYMEHAMEHAGG

Ignore the other dude that is dumbfounded that his buddies got Rapture beamed into the next century.
The goal here is to one shot both of them, obviously. Two casts = more time, equals enemies running at you, equals not as an effective farm!

And back to it:

All-in-all, it should take you less than like seven or eight seconds to do one run, and net you about 6k souls with above listed gear. You Bonfire, stand up, take two steps, target the dude, laser 'em both, two steps back, rinse and repeat. You shouldn't even have to agro any of them.

Even with some initial fumbling and lack of focus, netted me about 100-120k souls in roughly two minutes, which I think is a respectable amount.
And the other point of the matter, that despite the gear/build and location requirement, it's a cake farm. No dodging, minimal running, you could pretty much do it in your sleep (or let's be honest, while you text and watch Netflicks, you multi-taskers, you). Yes, it is repetitive. Yes, you are also playing a Japanese RPG.

So hope that was of interest and help to someone. If not, sorry I wasted your time. But let's be honest, you'd just be watching dumb Youtube videos or reading about dead celebs on Facebook instead.
Happy farming!

You've made a million word post about literally the easiest and most known place to farm sword grass.

Seriously.

Here's your "AMAZING" farm:

#1 warp to Road of Sacrifices / Keep ruins

#2 kill 3 mobs

Done in 10 words.

Stay in school.

p.s.

Next time please make a 5+ min (so you can monetize it) YouTube video of this AMAZING farm just to waste more of your life.

Yeah, but the point is more about the technique, and not about farming Sword Grass for the covenant (but if you read a few lines in, you'd realize that).
Sorry if the post is verbose (aka, detailed). Reading can be a real chore, especially for those "educated" types such as yourself, amiright?

Sounds like its ng+, those 3 mobs give 1010 souls with just a silver Covetous ring.

In my first playthrough, with Symbol of Avarice, Shield of Want, and Silver Covetous, I think they gave about 2.5k or so? I think. This was without Medicant's.
The more gear you have for upping Soul drop, obviously the better. But I'm pretty sure the difference for the first New Game is only like 300 souls a head. Though even that will add up, yeah.

Edit: And my bad, realized I missed my "+" in the op. Fixed.
