How Rare is the Symbol of Avarice? (Mimic Helm)

I got it on my first mimic kill but I heard that people went through an entire NG cycle without getting it.

There are 2 ways to get it:

1st: Kill all mimics, the item will spawn on the location of the last mimic - kinda a safe feature from fromsoft

2nd: Go to a mimic and use the item "Undead Hunter Charm" on it, it'll open its mouth and you can grab the item which he supposed to drop and with luck the Symbol of Avarice. (The way I got it).

All you have to do is repeating throwing the charm at them and using luck booster like coins and the gold serpent ring and buy maybe the sage rapier which also boosts luck.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO KILL THEM... go to any location of a mimic and throw those undead hunter charms at them, repeat until it opens its mouth with the symbol in it... IT WILL ALWAYS OPEN ITS MOUTH AND CAUGH - there can be the symbol in it or not, REPEAT UNTIL YOU GOT THE SYMBOL.

Wow, I got it by killing the first mimic too, found this while trying to find out why I randomly died, health drain you know.

Killing them is the worst way to get one. Just keep one mimic alive until you can buy undead hubter charms and make it sleep until it gives you one. Can take two undead hunter charm or ten, or more.

Since the thread is already uprooted, the 2 side by side mimics by Yohrmy boi can both be hit with 1 charm.
