How Rare is the Symbol of Avarice? (Mimic Helm)

I got it on my first mimic kill but I heard that people went through an entire NG cycle without getting it.

Well, I wasn't really hunting for one but I did kill all mimics in my first playthrough and as soon as I killed the very first one in High Wall of Lothric on NG+ I got the helm without any luck boosts.

its quite a rare drop actually i think the drop chance is like 5% or maybe less

My boyfriend and I both got one from the same mimic (profaned capital). I thought maybe it was a scripted drop this time or something

clearly you haven't had to farm covenant items. You need all the help you can get with that crap

It adds 100 on item discovery and you get 50% more souls, so it's very useful when you want to farm.

There are 2 ways to get it:

1st: Kill all mimics, the item will spawn on the location of the last mimic - kinda a safe feature from fromsoft

2nd: Go to a mimic and use the item "Undead Hunter Charm" on it, it'll open its mouth and you can grab the item which he supposed to drop and with luck the Symbol of Avarice. (The way I got it).

All you have to do is repeating throwing the charm at them and using luck booster like coins and the gold serpent ring and buy maybe the sage rapier which also boosts luck.

I got 3 of them on my first run just from killing them, 7 luck and no other items.

Yup, I'm one of those people. Killed a sh*tloads of mimics, but no drop. Gonna make sure to get it now in NG+.

Use a blessed gem on a backup shield and weapon. The hp regeneration makes it slower to drain you. I have a whole setup for farming. Hp regeneration ring, shield, and sword with the gold serpent ring and the symbol of avarice
