How to Use the Dragonslayer Spear Lightning Bolt Attack?

Did they remove the lightning bolt feature from the last two games? Or am I too low in magic and stuff? The only weapon art I'm getting is a homing impale attack.

The ranged attack is gone and replaced by the charge impale.

Ah. Oh well, I guess it would be quite OP. I do like the impale attack though.

The bolt is a part of the charge, it shoots out when the charge finishes.

It doesn't. The end of the spear just sparks and makes little AoE. It's not ranged like in the last games.

I love this spear, it is a little heavy but it is a blast to play PvE with. Good reach, hits hard, and looks great.

Haha I love it too but it's not levelled into ng+ much.

Haha I love it too but it's not levelled into ng+ much.

This spear is op as ♥♥♥♥ for me. Over 1400 damage backstabs on AI and any riposte on a player is usually a insta kill.

That's the Dragonslayer's Swordspear, not Ornstein's.

I love how easy it is to get in DS3, too. Remember you had to kill Ornstien second in DS1 to get his soul to trade? I always thought it was easier to kill him first and then face the big guy second.
