Which hand ought you put your pyro glove in?
So I JUST made a pyromancer, and I noticed they stuck the glove on my left hand (along with my shield). I don't know about all of you, but in DS1, I used it in my right hand, switching between a weapon and it so I could always have a shield.

But is there advantage in using the glove in your left hand? I'm wondering if it leads to combos in PvP: stun with your right weapon, use combustion or some other pyromancy with your left (glove).

Could I please have opinions on the ideal hand for a pyro glove, or is either viable? Thanks much in advance!

either is fine, it comes down to preference.

I prefer having my casting things in my left with my sword in right, simply because I always liked how it looks.

Pyro hand in left opens up the l2 combust, but I don't think it does much damage.

you can only use it with one hand and switching your right weapon from one to twohand goes faster. In the previous games i used it also in my right hand with a shield on my left. But now I was playing without a shield so I choose left flame and right weapon. In your left hand you can use the special ability of the flame while a weapon is in your other hand. That would be the only difference. You can easily miss your target regardless of which hand :) DMG is the same. So it will work with shield left and the flame on your right side

Pyromancy in your left hand is decent if you were planning on two-handing a weapon (and you aren't piggybacking a shield with a special effect.) Since you're using a shield, though, yeah you probably want it in your right hand. Only "upside" to left-handing the flame is the free Combustion skill.

For some reason, with me is always sorceries on left hand, and pyros/miracles on the right one.

I just like the idea of being able to block after a cast really. I may be remembering wrong, but that was sort of a possibility if your foe did a late punish in DS1.

The free combustion is nice, but that only frees up a spell slot (not that big of a deal really). Being able to block then punish with a manually-attuned combustion seems to make more sense to me.

However, with the glove in my right, my element of surprise is gone, and that seems like it could be a big factor in PvP if the glove was in my left hand. In other words, am I going to strike or cast a fireball/combustion? Does it really matter though?

Additionally, I still wonder about a hypothetical combo sort of deal where I could hit and stun with my right weapon, and do some close range pyromancy with my left that wouldn't really hit otherwise. That's pretty much the kicker. Then again, in that situation, you could just keep hitting with your right weapon post stunlock.

The only reason I'm really asking so much is because I made my character different on his right side assuming that was gonna be his glove side. XD
