As a huge Berserk fan.
It bring me great joy to see the many references to Kentaro Miura's Berserk.
There are more than I can list, and any other reader of the manga will also notice Kentaro's influence.
only a couple I have noticed are - in the undead settelment theres alot of corpses on wheels that look very familiar.
outside Irithyll theres a beast that looks very much like the beast that resides in Gatsu's soul, straining to get free.
Guts would certainly be at home in Lordran.
certainly his mythos of fighting despite insurmountable odds and being the "struggler" speaks volumes to how to approach the Demons/Dark Souls series.

I noticed these things, too! Or like the Fallen Knight armor...that reminds me of Guts' armor as well. And of course, the freaking Greatsword lmao. As far as I know, Berserk has been one of the series' inspirations. Remember in Dark Souls 1, what Andre always said? "Don't get yourself killed. Nobody wants to see you go hollow." Total Berserk reference from Godo the smith.

Couldn't help but think of Mozgus when one of the evangelists bookbashed me in the head.

EDIT: It's not a coincidence. Miyazaki is a huge Berserk fan. He calls the UGS weapon skill "Guts mode."

Not really, unlike Dragon's Dogma, but I'm going to make a Guts cosplay character soon.
The greatsword will be the primary weapon.

This series has always taken a huge inspiration from Berserk, and in the first game Artorias' pose on the cover was a direct homage to one of the berserk covers.

Yeah Dragons Dogma was very obvious, even one of the starting character templates looked pretty much exactly like Guts.

And Mercedes is based on Casca. And in the console versions you can actually get Guts' and Griffith's armour.
