Some players able to yell "Hey" and others say "Here"

Am I missing something here? My male character can only yell "Here". Is it something to do with the "voice age"? Or is there some way of changing this?

Not wooden carvings. The "call over" emote.

Rogue, I believe OP is on about the gesture that your character personally says something.
Mine's always said "Hey" whereas I've heard "Here" from others. I don't know what causes one or the other, sorry.

Gender also affect emotes. Test them out using the reversal ring.

This is the part where it stops making sense though. I've heard other male characters yell "Hey", but never been able to myself.

Isn't "Hey" = female character and "Here" = male character? I've also heard "HALT" but ye, no idea about that one.

There's 3 voice types for each gender.

That dictates the noise. Sadly you can't sample the "HERE" in the voice menu

You'll need to respec appearance at rosaria in the cathedral if you want it changed.

the age option doesn't affect it, but voice type.
