Randomly dropping target....
As the mobs and bosses get harder, this is becoming really annoying as a sorcerer. Anyway to stop this from happening?

i noticed that if you attack a resting enemy, the moment he becomes active you loose target on him.

There are two auto lock options, both enabled by default. The first one swaps your target after your current dies, the other one messes everything up, sometimes stops you locking, sometimes swaps your lock without you asking. Turn that one off and see if it's better.

I assume you're using the Sage Ring btw? That ring is really strong.

It'll drop target if you're out of range. i.e: you lock on far away, cast a spell, move back a tiny bit, bam, broken lock on.

I don't know why they still haven't allowed manual aiming of spells. Balance has nothing to do with it. :steamfacepalm:

How do you manually aim in third person without binoculars? Suggest a control method, ill wait.

You don't. That's the problem.

If you're asking "how would they implement it?" They could just make the catalysts manually aim the same way bows do.

That'd require 2 handing then.

And?

Because using binoculars is much more innovative and user friendly. Nothing says "I'm a mage!" like pulling out a bow to properly hit distant targets, or peering through binoculars and waving your catalyst to cast, right?

I wasn't disagreeing, just making a statement.

...

Yeah, that "other one" is supposed to auto lock onto a target when you hit them with melee or something. It has never once done that. Maybe it's bugged in other ways like you say. I'll try that.
