I assume you're using the Sage Ring btw? That ring is really strong.
I don't know why they still haven't allowed manual aiming of spells. Balance has nothing to do with it.
If you're asking "how would they implement it?" They could just make the catalysts manually aim the same way bows do.
Because using binoculars is much more innovative and user friendly. Nothing says "I'm a mage!" like pulling out a bow to properly hit distant targets, or peering through binoculars and waving your catalyst to cast, right?
Yeah, that "other one" is supposed to auto lock onto a target when you hit them with melee or something. It has never once done that. Maybe it's bugged in other ways like you say. I'll try that.
