Also some scorpion enemy or boss...
too many humanoid enemies and bosses
That's a bit rude mate. Just because something is digital doesn't mean it can't affect you physically. Tryingto avoid spoilers I can tell you that I actually shuddered when I faced my first centipede-like enemy due to how creepy the design was and how immersive the game is.
Not to mention certain *ahem* "shouting" enemies in an initially dead-quiet area. My heart was proper pumping when I met the first one. I can definitely see how people with phobias would actually be unable to deal with these things. Plus a phobia is a medical condition, it's not "lack of courage". If something triggers it, it triggers it period
I understand phobias and stuff (i have myself some... illogical issue, i know and understand it's everything in my mind, but it just won't change), but phobias comes from real stuff. In slugs case, even if real-life slugs can cause you phobia, they dont do by themselves.
You don't have phobias about slugs, but about what can they do to you in real life (not a lot, but meh).
You dont have height phobia, but phobia about falling from height places.
You dont have spider phobia, but phobia from spiders biting you, touching you, poisoning you, or just you BEING SURROUNDED by real spiders.
But these are just pixels. You KNOW nothing will hapen you. Just-nothing. I can understand someone with a phobia.. approaching slowly... feeling uncomfortable. But at some point you have to realise they are pixels that will do nothing to you, and take this even as an opportunity to defeat your phobia smashing slugs with a hammer, or at least getting strength in the game. They are pixels.
It's true about scares, unexpected shoutts in dead-quiets areas and stuff, and i can understand that you get YOUR ASS SCARED when an unexpected slug you have a phobia from appears, but when you see the slug in the distance, you expect him, and you know its just pixels... you can walk across, even running, and gg
PD: I LOVE MONSTER AND WEIRD ENEMIES AND BOSSES. The centipede in DS1, gargoyles, freja spider, the rotten so epic, smelter demon, demon of song even, DARKLURKER.. i miss enemies like those in DS3. Also animals like the executioner chariot
Do you mean the slimes? Cos from what I recall there are 0 slugs in the catacombs.
They are the same enemy OP is talking about in Farron Keep. So yes the slimes / molluscs / things.
