Accidentally killing npcs..

This game... this piece of ******* **** ****** ***** game.... When you're talking to a freaking npc, and you go to your inventory to use some item, for excample when you're low on souls and want to buy a spell from yoel, and your like short 183 souls. You open this inventory screen and find you soul and use it, like you click on the sure i want to use this soul AND YOU ♥♥♥♥ING ONE HIT K.O the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NPC AND THERE IS NO GOING BACK, and you ♥♥♥♥ing RUIN the ending becuse the game doesnt ♥♥♥♥ing realize you dont want to stab whatever the hell is in front of you while browsing the inventory, no you just want to press that accept button, which it does but it also ♥♥♥♥ing kills any damn npc in front of you.

Hmm was going to make a smart ass comment about being careful, but I can see where you are coming from. I always use controller and never touch the mouse... that way use and attack are different buttons.

I mean you could just restart and buy a controller it only costs 20$ at max for a decent usb controller and you can download drivers from the respective sites (Playstation controller or xbox controller drivers)

Just happened to me and I'm past pointiff so don't feel like restarting, it would have been fine if I wasnt holding the ultra greatsword i was holding, it would probably have taken two hits, but nope NOT TODAY.

I always face my back to them just incase i accidentally press my attack buttons been doing that since dark souls 1.

Lol, I koed the blacksmith......with the controller. Tossed it on my desk, somehow the R2 got pressed.....no big deal, my save was already screwed....still got mad, but later, got gud!

Does visiting Velka help if the NPC is already dead? DId you get any ashes? Can you give them to the handmaiden?

The old lady in shrine took my great axe to the face in the same manner unfortunatly. She jacked the prices on me after she respawned which would of been ok had I left it at that. I decided I would repent my sins though and I think that impacted the other questline I was working on (and only had one step left to finish). So it was an extra kick to the junk haha! Still love the game. I'm just more careful with my axe.
