Failed to load savegame

I started a new game on a friends steam account and played some hours in DS3. I really liked it and bought it finally and now wanted to migrate my savegames. I copied the savefiles over but now DS is telling me that it failed to load the savegame.
Is there any way to migrate the save data to my account?

I am having a problem I made 2 character slots to transfer my girlfriend ng+ character to her pc (she decided to stop hogging mine.) Put when we follow the steps it gives us 2 of my old character I deleted. Not the two character currently under my load game. Any idea?

Then you have to create all characters.. if your final character is your 6th and you deleted 5 before that one, then you have to create 6 characters, then paste the old save files, and then log in to the 6th random created character.

I am doing all you guys suggested above, but for some reason I cannot get this alt account to play the other saves even tho I have the same amount of slots. None of my friends can run the saves either and for some reason it only works when I am signed into my main. Any ideas I am out of ideas.

I cant even get passed the press any button to continue..... doesn't let me enter. I reinstalled the game as well and that didn't do anything at all. Just keeps saying cannot load saved data but i do not have any. Please help!

It doesn't work anymore. It stopped working after the 10/jun/2016 update.
It only still works with saves that were last used on a game of a previous version than that.
