you have to kill him there and not pick up his stuff then walk all the way back to church of yorshka then you can run back and forth at the church and the graves where you get invaded by the axe guy if you doubt this video will help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3_Jo4R7VYg its a few mins in
Now I'm playing Dragon's Dogma, and I played The Surge, Code Vein and Nioh, and I'm realising how awful and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ is Dark Soul's System that doesn't allow you to reallocate stats or maximize weapons. It kills freedom to experiment. Nowadays it's my worst soulsborne game, all the other soulsborne do a lot better in gameplay and mechanics XD And I was a super fanboy that played demon's and the three dark souls over 1000 hours in total
It seems that if you go over the normal limit of obtainable slabs when you're in your first run (NG), you can get banned. On the other hand, from NG+ onwards it seems to be safe to get as many slabs as you want.
That said, I have no idea if people can even get banned anymore for having more slabs than normal since Bandai should have removed bans caused by invalid items/invalid item amounts.
But anyway, at this point of the game's lifetime, just use Honest Merchant and make your life easier.
