Duel wielding Uchigatana and Estoc

Oooo, did I discover something that peeves people off? I figured it's a nice combo because I can poke easily with the estoc without much frame dedication, then go ham with the gatana when the time is right.

What's wrong with that? Am I supposed to be playing like a gimp or something?

well to put it simply, without any thinking or tactics, you can spam R1. And it will works.

If that were the case, I would just two-hand the katana and spam R1 for more damage. This actually takes a modicum of skill to know when to poke, and know when to use the main-hand.

Nah play with whatever you feel like but you just combined the two weapons that require nothing but R1 spam. Estoc can be easily parried but most people don't even bother trying.

No, better two hand the estoc, it's more powerful. It will practically always win against a katanaboy.

You're fine, and it sounds like you've got a solid plan going, you just unwittingly picked two of the three weapons people on the forums hate the most (Estoc/Bestoc, Dark Sword/Irithyll Sword, pretty much any katana)

People right now generally dislike katanas and rapier weapons, and you're using both in the same build. Just ignore them, do what you do
