DARK SOULS™ III

DARK SOULS™ III

Ver estadísticas:
Having trouble with Boreal Outrider Knights.
Frankly, I'm not sure how I passed the one in the road of sacrifices, but the one in Lothric Castle is just slaughtering me. I could summon help and cheese it, but frankly I find these to be the absolute most BS enemy in the entire game(Yes, even more than the crocobomination things from Irithyll Valley. I think everything awful just comes from Irithyll.). I'd like to figure out some hard counter to their attacks, that have enormous range, lunge at you, do huge stamina damage to shields, build up a debilitating status, do huge damage if you don't block, seem to ignore rolling and parries, and have more parry than you can stagger with a charged hard attack. You can't even backstab them; they don't have any wind-down after attacks to strafe around, and they never stop attacking for a second.

Frankly, I just don't see any one weakness to these enemies. They're just total BS from my perspective and I want them gone. So... any tips?

as with other Irithyll knights, you just need to learn the moveset. Otherwise their delayed attacks will wreck you.

They attack in 2's so when theres one attack dodge. wait for second dodge then attack

See, I tried that, but I run out of stamina from dodging it's attacks; which do not stop, as it does not seem to internalize the concept of stamina. I can't be aggressive because it has too much poise to stagger, and it staggers me in one hit with 17+ poise.
You could be staggered with 100000 Poise. It's inactive.
Having said that the Rider ignore the Eygon Phantom. Summon him and hide around the corner as he beats it like a Drum.

Little late but I will share an easy way to kill the first two knights;:

The one inbetween Undead Settlement and the Forest I suggest running around it, you can go through the double doors which gives you invicibility frames until the animation is finished, keep going. He will not pass the double doors as an invisible wall where they were shut will keep him in place, he will also return to his original position. Poke at him with a large weapon, hurl items/spells at him, or get a few hits in when he turns around. If worst comes to worst the bonfire is right there when you open the doors.

The Outrider in Lothric Castle is one I struggle with a lot too, the easiest way I've found to kill him is just dodge his attacks and lure him out of that downstairs area, then lead him out to where the Dragons are breathing fire up the small steps, he'll follow you a bit of the way so it's best to make him try to lunge at you and get stuck out there, the fire will stagger him for a while and the Dragons will continue breathing it while he's there. Then you can ditch him and get your sweet loot.

Hope this helps! Haven't really found anyway to cheese the third Outrider since he has nothing I'm ever interested in, sorry. :fhappy:

The leap attacks are BS

Can be parried and riposted.

I still take a breath before dealing with the one in Lothric castle. I either pray I get the timing of a parry right or use a greatsword or larger weapon, which can break his poise in a couple hits.
If I don't want to deal with it, another way of cheesing him if dragons are still alive is luring him into the area to get fried.

The second one you encounter at Lothric, just lure him into the middle of the dragons and let them do the work.
The third one is in the Grand Archives, you can lure him to the ladder nearby, fall and wait for him to follow you, then you climb back up and either use arrows or bombs or spells to take him out.
It's cheap tactics but hey, everything in Dark Souls uses underhanded tactics so. . . it's only fair.

Turns out you just have to be quick on your feet, and some helpful tips;
1.Try staying behind it
2.It can still reorient itself up to the moment when it's halfway into the slash/jab
3.Attacks in flurries of up to seven
4.Can strike immediately after a leap attack
