Having trouble with Boreal Outrider Knights.
Frankly, I'm not sure how I passed the one in the road of sacrifices, but the one in Lothric Castle is just slaughtering me. I could summon help and cheese it, but frankly I find these to be the absolute most BS enemy in the entire game(Yes, even more than the crocobomination things from Irithyll Valley. I think everything awful just comes from Irithyll.). I'd like to figure out some hard counter to their attacks, that have enormous range, lunge at you, do huge stamina damage to shields, build up a debilitating status, do huge damage if you don't block, seem to ignore rolling and parries, and have more parry than you can stagger with a charged hard attack. You can't even backstab them; they don't have any wind-down after attacks to strafe around, and they never stop attacking for a second.

Frankly, I just don't see any one weakness to these enemies. They're just total BS from my perspective and I want them gone. So... any tips?

Dodging and being aggressive worked best for me.
See, I tried that, but I run out of stamina from dodging it's attacks; which do not stop, as it does not seem to internalize the concept of stamina. I can't be aggressive because it has too much poise to stagger, and it staggers me in one hit with 17+ poise.

You mean the werewolves from bloodborn right? the reskinned ones? yeah bro, be aggressive but try stay behind them. don't let thr frost build up either, more frost = more damage and it acts like bleeding does from DS2
But that's the thing, I can't play aggressively because they have too much poise. At least you could gun riposte in Bloodborne.

Can probably parry them bruh, use a light weapon that has fast r1, 1 r1 roll 1 r1 roll.

Have you killed the duo dragons? If so, pull it up the stairs and when you reach the top go to the right, there's a gap near where one of the dragons is dead and if you fall down the enemy will stay stuck between the broken railing so you can blast away with arrows or magic.
Thanks, that seems like the only viable option. Melee just seems like an absolute nonfactor here. I've tried parrying them- it doesn't work. They attack too much in a flurry to roll- I'll run out of stamina before they stop swinging.

r1 spam with a fast powerful weapon will usually kill him before he kills u especailly if u manage to trigger a stagger.

Was a no-go, I tried. It has too much poise to stagger with a fast weapon, and it can stagger me in one hit.

I've found that their attack pattern is what messed me up, the majority of their attacks are only 2 hit combos and the wind up is a fraction later than you're expecting from a Souls monster. The trick with only having a 2 attack swing is by the time you've seen the opening and moved into strike they're about to launch their next combo and even though you'll hit them they'll swing through your attack and land hits on you. Rolling to the right (their left) past their attacks works well for me, roll, roll, get your hit in and move back out. let them close the distance and roll past his swings and stabs.

For me he got stuck on the bonfire side of the bridge. He just stood there, with only his head above the horizon, while I shot him with arrows from the castle side FAR far away. I had to time the shots with his breathing to hit his head at the top of it's animation. Cheese will take you very far in this game.

its because the one in the basement in lothric is the strongest outrider, i always end up cheesing him to the staircase and use demon great axe special attack to hit him through textures
