DS4Windows stopped working... (windows 10)
So i've been playing Dark souls 3 for some time with my ds4 controller.
Ds4windows worked perfectly fine until a recent windows 10 update. I've already done those little things like "hide ds4 controller" and "close steam etc before opening ds4windows" and it worked perfectly before with these settings, but now it wont...
I've tried everything i could find. Inputmapper wont work either (same error). Motionjoy doesn't work either (didn't really expect it to though).

My pc is detecting the controller. Drivers were installed when i plugged in the controller after the windows 10 update and the controller glows. The controller works perfectly on any other games, even without ds4windows, but not on any dark souls game.

Ds4windows starts at windows startup and steam doesn't. It's just weird that ds4windows doesn't get exclusive controll over my ds4. And as said, everything else is closed except ds4windows but it still wont work. Really need some help here!

latest w10 update broke ds4windows, although I heard you can fix it by disabling HID complaint devices in the device manager.
I just use ScpToolkit since I switched to w10 becouse the other programs/drivers seem to have some issues with the way w10 manages gamepads. Scptoolkit on the other hand works like a charm, only downside is it takes exclusive control of the bluetooth dongle if you wanna use your pad wireless. http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-ScpToolkit-XInput-Wrapper-aka-ScpServer-Reloaded

You can still use DS4Windows but before running it you can simply use an ExclusiveModeTool. Just google it and it will come up. It's a script file that disables and enables the required stuff so taht you could use DS4 again. Need to run it every time you restart the pc though.

Open device manager, find your controller (HID compliant game controller), disable device, enable device

It's a known bug

The tool does exactly the same thing without the hassle of doing it yourself everytime you want to play with a controller.

Yes, use the tool as a workaround.

Also, I am currently using ScpToolKit and I like it. It looks like it has a little less features than DS4Windows, but it gives you way less hassle. After you install it, you just turn on you controller and play. No need to worry about Exclusive Mode and Windows messing things.
