Is the steel protection ring really worth using ?

Imo, it doesn't seem to make much difference. I seem to get more survivability out of stacking life and using a life ring. A +3 is 10% health. When embered with 40+ health, that's significant.

I don't think it is. There are more useful rings to equip then that, but in the end it's up to you.

I usually use it with rings that lowers my defense, so it counters that effect. Also I didn't get the +3 rings because I wasn't that bored yet, I made new characters instead. A +0 or +1 life ring is useless as ♥♥♥♥, and a steel protection+0 is much better than that.

I've won way too many duels with less than 100 health to agree with that.

Thanks for your answers, I mostly use it to counter the prisoner's chain, I wanted to know if it has another utility than countering other rings, seems not, not a lot at least.

I don't think it does much of anything in PvP (most personal buffs get nerfed into uselessness against another player).

Whether you use it or not for PvE is entirely up to you. If you get hit a lot, it certainly doesn't hurt.

If your already using all the other survival rings and your defence is under the point where diminishing returns really kicks in, then its worth using if you want extra tanky ness.

If you want, personally I find the RoSP absolutely useless unless your taking a LOT of small hits. Against a big hit it does almost nothing, you're probably better off with any other ring.

So PvP wise I wouldn't recommend it, there are far more useful rings out there. PvE wise? Might be useful over a long stretch but still, there are other rings that do a better job of that.

Overall, it's up to you, but personally I'd stay as far away from that ring as you can get.
