Dark Souls 3 is no longer fun.
I'm not sure what happened (and by that I mean I know exactly what happened), but about halfway through this game I just stop having fun. Early game is awesome. Enemies are tough, but fair and combat is incredibly rewarding and enjoyable. Then sometime around Lothric Castle the game shifts from that classic Souls feel back to Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Game. The encounters become less imaginative and the enemy placement makes less sense the farther you get. The fight mechanics also seem to take a turn for the worse. Death begins to feel like less operator error and more cheap fight mechanics that are difficult to predict at best. It's to the point where I no longer look forward to playing the game at all. I still make progress, but find less and less enjoyment and satisfaction out of doing so. Anybody else running into this?

What.
It does. 1 enemy guarding the elevator in Sinner's Rise as opposed to 4. All 8 enemies don't attack you when you enter forest of fall giants because they're all sleeping. This is two of the many ganks it removes.

And those turtles before the Old iron king? How was that in Ds2 no SotFS?

They didn't change them. There's still only 1 guarding him.

The high point of DS3 PvE for me is Irithyll - Londo. I like how the place looks, the enemies are also not 100% boring, it doesn't feel like a chore compared to Catacombs/Dungeon/Archives, and it has the best invasions if you're lucky enough to experience them while just powering through.

I love the Catacombs and Irithyll Dungeon. Irithyll Dungeon has art design to drool for.

Visually, they look alright to me, but I dislike how they play out. It's really a huge hassle for me, as I mostly want to skip through them and just reach Soul of Cinder so I have all the fun areas opened up to pop Red Eyes in.

Irithyll Dungeon is the only area in all games to scare me. The atmosphere is amazing. And I love how interconnected it is. And how many secrets it has. Personally it's one of my favourite areas ever.

so here is a full list of enemys inside the loric castle and where we saw the same enemy befor most of them are just stronger in stats or have a reskin .

Lothric Castle

Pus of Man - same one in High Wall of Lothric

Pus of Wyvern - first "new" enemy in this area? which is not that new. is just a pus that cant walk around.

Consumed King's Garden

Pus of Man - same thing than the one we find in High Wall of Lothric but you have to kill them in thier pus form
Rotten Slug - same one from Farron Keep
Consumed King's Knight - same one in the Cathedral of the Deep
Hollow Slave - same than the one Undead Settlement
Serpent-man - most people meet this serpant man first in this place but still there is a ton of it in Archdragon Peak
Lothric Priest -same as the Grave Warden (the first enemy in the game) they got a better sowrd and cast spells more often

Grand Archives

Hollow Soldier - same one in High Wall of Lothric
Hollow Slave - same than the one Undead Settlement but thier weapon is on fire
Lothric Knight -same one in High Wall of Lothric
Gertrude's Knight - same than Winged Knight
Boreal Outrider Knight - same one in Road of Sacrifices
Crystal Sage - same as the boss fight but no illusion and it teleport around the area.
Grand Archives Scholar - this one is the same as the Devout of the Deep in Cathedral of the Deep but they have wax on thier head and use sorceries instand of fire ball.
Clawed Curse - the second new "enemy" in this area you cant kill it . is more like a environmental hazard but we never saw this befor.
Man-grub - same one in Cathedral of the Deep there is only one of it.
Gargoyle - same one in Profaned Capital but now he have a skull head
Corvian - same one in Road of Sacrifices
Corvian Storyteller - same one in Road of Sacrifices

Kriemhild - enemy version of heysel like npc (is basicly a caster but as we have see many caster invader or heysel as a summon depending on your side quest line)

Concution .there is no new enemy type in this area beside of the Clawed Curse which can be hardly consider as a enemy they are like explosive barrels or fall damage means if you do the right thing it wont hurt you.

Quote. I think I've felt the same way you described.

I agree. I usually thought that Weapon Durability is a key mechanic in a Rpg Game.

Like Oblivion and Skyrim. Oblivion is an Rpg, Skyrim is much more similar to an Fps.

Dks2 Durability was kinda frustrating, but at least gave me a nostalgic feeling of good Rpgs. Dks3 have seems to have included durability only for the joy of having it on the menu screen.

In what RPG does a weapon break in 10 hits? Incase you didn't know, there was a serious bug that took around 6 durability per hit that wasn't fixed until SotFS.

Dude, I said it was frustrating. I knew the durability bug, so calm down.

I wasn't praising a bug, I just said that I like when armors, Weapon, and shields can actually break sometimes... So chill.
