So, does that pyromancer npc sell anything interesting, or can I just kill him? I need his set for my fashion/rp character, and the Old Demon King is kinda late, I don't feel like waiting with online play until I get all the crap, especially since I also need to get 2 shotels from Patches.

He's the only individual that can upgrade your flame, if I recall, and sells a majority of early-game pyromancy, otherwise he's not important if you don't care for spells.

old demon king really isnt a late game boss. its only 1 boss away from undead settlement since u can just kill abyss watchers and then head to old demon.

I mean its ur choice. If u arent a pyromancer u prob dont need him. He only sells pyromancy.

You CAN get Cornyx's set without killing him though. The Old Sage Blindfold is just sitting around with the Witch's Ring. As for the rest of the set, summon Great Swamp Cuculus for the Old Demon King fight and keep her alive, might be difficult if you don't get Tsorig or another player to help you since Cuckulus is practically suicidal. If she lives through the fight, you can go back to where you first recruited Cornyx in the Settlement, and you'll find his set and a unique whip sitting there. That way you can keep Cronyx alive in case you ever need him, and still get his stuff.

Using a Bow could help, since the NPC summon only stays near you.

Eh, I guess I'll try rushing previous areas then. Maybe I'll finaly try the pyromancies in dks3, too.
