What are your opinions on Duel Charm usage in duels?

Do you find it inappropriate? Is there a line where a build almost depends on the buffs to do anything? Or do you consider it just another legit duel tool to be used and valued?

The spin to win instakill combo approach Oroboro used in invasions with Sellsword Twinblades. I'm sure SOME people try to make it work in duels.

Also O&U users frequently try to get Carthus Rouge instakills. Not particularly RELIANT on the buff, but it's practically always there.

Builds like that are the reason Fromsoft made the Charms.
One of the better idea's in the game imho.

Yeah, dispelling Rouge is usually my priority if I feel like I can get away with it. I have had people Estus/BC out on me for it though.

It's interesting to see how people react to it, which is also part of the reason I made this whole thread. Some people start trying to reapply their buff of choice, some quit the duel, some just continue the fight like buffs don't exist, etc.

With my cleric i use Sacred Oath, Lightning Blade and Deep Protection. But yeah, if we´re in middle of the duel....i can still dodge that. So, use it.

I don't think theres a problem with them in duels but there was this one time I buffed a Scythe with Dark resin and the guy threw a duel charm at me I was like ok then I rebuffed during the fight and he just ran away in a circle till the buff wore off so I jumped off the edge.

Fun times.
