Edit: it's not fine per se, it could use a damage buff. That is, all the scythes could use a small damage buff.
Split damage on most weapons are terrible. The only reason to ever infuse the GS is with refined. And since he's a dex pyro, he's losing out anyway, so really it's just a matter of sacrificing fashion for practicality.
1) You're a '-pyro' build. Drop that, all weapons will become better.
2) You're putting damage ahead of moveset, reach and looks.
Or you just want an R1-stick with maximum DPS for PvE?
This. There's literally also a weapon made for dex pyros called the witches locks which you get towards end game.
Witchlock have about the same total AR as a chaos infused corvian scythe which you can get much earlier though (16 str 18dex 40int 40 faith)
Edit: chaos Longsword, chaos astoras sword, etc.
Imbuing should really add a weapon glow. Just for that extra edge.
Some os us prefer infusions because we don't like to buff all day every day.
