Thought I would post my new Black Knight Cosplay build. I absolutely LOVE this build and am having a ton of fun with this in PVE and PVP.

For PVE people yuo could slightly alter this build and add in Deep Protection and Sacred Oath for Jolly Co-op.

Yeah I was reading a post that said BKGA is a meta build just a few minutes ago. I've been doing PVP since day one and oddly enough never faced a BKGA user. Then I made this build and finally saw one.

But the build is really because I wanted to use the Black Knight armor set and the BKGA just seemed like the a fun weapon. I didn't realize when making this that there were very similar popular builds.

But all in all this is a cosplay, not a build I made because I realized that BKGA was a meta build. Which I do realize now. I just think the Black Knight armor set looks awesome.

I will always fit a ceastus in any build now, it's really the best way to go. Pretty much every PVP build does from what I have seen.

Dear OP! Don't fall for this! This was sarcasm! As almost everyone is running with BKGA and Caestus. Mostly because BKGA is the best axe, having the most damage and stuff. And because caestus has an "infinite" stunlock combo. And also because caestus is pretty good for parrying.

The only original thing is the theme and the shield. That's it. I'm not saying don't do it, I'm just saying that it's not a really uncommon build, and it's nothing special.


Now if you were using saints bident for example.. or the notched whip.. or drakeblood sword.. or things like that that noone uses, I would respect that. Especially if you were to make it effective, which I failed for drakeblood.

Now the third one seems to be really bad. You are on the right path.

But the first 2 is viable. No jokes here. Well I'd swap Dorhy's Gnawing because it sucks, but otherwise sounds solid. And the corvian scythe is awesome, and having an offhand caestus, as said, is pretty OP. So the second build you linked is actually a nice PvP build. I'd get more points into STR tho and less in VIG/END. 40/40 quality + hollow is especially insane for corvian scythe. I mean insanely good. It's still a great build to use, because you don't see it often. Same goes for the mage.

But the dual notch seems to be as useless as a bow build. I mean if you make THAT viable, then I will applaud you.

Yeah I tried and Indiana Jones dex cosplay, revolving around the whip, and ceastus. It was pure garbage. There's a reason no one uses a whip build, they are horrible. Not being able to be parried is nice, and the weapon art hits really far away, better for runners. But it was so awful I had to make that character into a different dex build.

Dark Souls is still really popular. It's going to be very hard to find a build with weapons people don't use on a regualr basis.

Katana's - can't use
Falchion - cant use
Most Axes - cant use
dual swords - can't use
ceastus - can't use
daggers - cant use
long swords - can't use
estoc - can't use
rapiers - cant use
Astora great sword - cant use
Black Knight weapons - cant use
pontiff knight curved sword - cant use
Spears - cant use

That leaves the whips, and horrible weapons like worker weapons.

Everything average or better is used all the time.

Making a build around a whip for PVP, and even PVE is horrible. I regret wasting 20 hours in my whip build. It was painful to play with, and boring, and incredibly weak.
