Gwyn vs. Soul of Cinder

Lately I was fighting Soul of Cinder again and was thinking Gwyn is the cooler boss. I am not talking about difficulty here but FROM's urge to cram all there is into SoC kind of kills his personality for me. He is like Everyman from the Simpson's.

Oh sorry, just sounded like you do. What I hate the most about this community and every "Dark Souls fan" is that everyone seems to worship the devs as gods and everything that have the name Gwyn on it makes their jucies flow like a waterfall. I completely hate that in DS2 people say that the Iron King is Gwyn because it is completely forced into the game. If you ask me the Iron King is just the Prince from the bell tower that created his kingdom with iron. I don't even know why the souls of the 4 main bosses should even be in DS2, it game was fine without them.

I think you are just reading into it to much. I think he is only there to be a endgame boss and fan service. You in the story is actually incredibly important. Everyone on all sides have been forced to go all in and they are all placing their bets on you. You are not treated as someone that isn't important.

Soul of Cinder is an amazing fight, especially because of lore. He is everyone who ever linked the flame. Thus, he is Gwyn, the first to link the flame, the second who linked the flame, and so on.

And now you ask: who is the second who linked the flame? YOU! It was you, the chosen undead! So SoC has the styles of the starting classes, you basically fight the previous you.

And the feeling and everything about it is spot on. You might not feel like it, but well we can't like the same things. But you not liking it doesn't change the value of the fight.

I already said it so its kind of repeating myself. SoC basically becomes Gwyn. And in this community anything with Gwyn is like showing Lucy in Fairy Tail almost compleley naked. I feel more insulted by it actually. That their creativity extended so far that they decided to finish the whole series off with is the same exact moveset their first end boss had. Heck I should rather see Champion Gundyr there as he is relentless in is second stage, and he is much harder then SoC as well.
