keep moving, never stay still. everything uses very little stamina and it recovers very fast, so it really favors mobility. Also, hitting nemeies will recover health for a few seconds after getting hit.

there is no weight limit, but higher defence armors will slow down stamina regeneration.

otherwise, just kill them before they kill you. :)

edit: gun parries are really easy to use and make the game much easier. just figure out the timing and enjoy
Play it like you played DS3, dodgefest.
and ignore pvp. bloodborne's pvp is terrible.
lvling up so darn hard i put 2 lvls in hp i dont know if i need str for better weapons but i think im gonna with Hp and Stamina for a bit
weapons like kirkhammer and ludwicks holy sword can stun most bosses, if you havent beaten the first boss shoot em in the face, get some molotovs as well and when hes low and starts going ham throw some molotovs

Certain weapons deal extra damage to certain enemies. "Saw" type weapons (saw cleaver, threaded cane whip form, anything with a serrated edge) deal extra damage to "beat" type enemies (wolves 'n ♥♥♥♥). Lightning damage is effective against "kin" type enemies (slimy blobbly enemies).

Thrust attacks are arguably the strongest in the game, and are especially effective against the blobbly enemies. Big weapons like the kirkhammer can stagger just about anything with a charged power attack.

Don't underestimate transformation attacks, mashing l1 can often have a higher dps than regular r1 spam. One weapon where this is evident is with the saw spear
