The "Point Down Taunt" in PVP
I usually bow after a duel (Because I'm one of those honor-bound losers that there seems to be less of in DS3 than there were in DS2), but it's always the cutest thing when a player does the "Point down" gesture after beating you in pvp. It communicates "Ha! I think I'm better than you because I beat you in ONE duel! I have such low self-esteem I need to taunt others to feel better about myself!" Like, jesus christ, the edge is overwhelming. Everyone else feel the same way about it?

I do the point down gesture sometimes, but only when I just rekt a ganking squad or something like that

Or an estus chugging scum.

But I agree I find it sad how the community labels other gestures as other things and what not. For example I like the Farron Gesture but people think its the same as pointing down when you get ganked.

smh community in Dark souls is both good but weird in many things.

It happens to me when people use meme/OP/cheese builds. Which tells me that (not only do I suck ;D) they haven't won a fight either before or all day and they felt the need to make the loser feel bad... even though it never works and it actually makes me pity them even more.

You aren't a good psychologist. Stop getting your psychology lessons from youtube comment sections.

It's funny how you said you think it's "the cutest thing". ^ That sums it up perfectly.

Forgive. Stay humble. Don't taunt. Don't gloat.

The greatest test of resolve in character is showing kindness to those who have wronged you.

It's also very satisfying, and it breaks the cycle.

Oh boy, we got a circle jerk going on here. And no, I was not trying to soapbox or be a psychologist. All I'm saying that's what it communicates to me.

Lol that's getting a bit too gung ho and serious about a game, but from what I understand, yeah, no matter how dickish the other person was I always bow if I win (Sounds super self-righteous I know)
