Weapon to pair with yhorm's greatshield

hi guys, i wana try a hybrid build of strength and dex and what do u guys think should be my right hand weapon? spears swords rapiers or halberds ?? thanks

a spear or a rapier, the rapier (the weapon, not the weapon class) will probably be best for your off hand since it can parry.
edit: misread the title, i thought is said yhorms machete :I

if u wanna fight with greatshield and weapon, u must use spear or estoc, however spear is better for the range, those weapons can attack while u block, but care, its easy to do backstab :c

what infusion would you recommend for the estoc and what are viable spears

no no dont pick up estoc and depens on ur stats what infusion and viable spears are lothric knight spear and dragonslayer spear

if u rolling with 40/40 or 28/40 use refined n if u rolling with mosly dex go with sharp
