[Pyro only run] Help Siegward fight the fire demon

Hello all!

As you probably all know, the first step to siegward questline is to help him fight a fire demon, but my problem is that I undergo a pyromancy only run (so far so good), so i wanted to know: will i be able to help siegward with my pyromancies or should I first get the Dark Pyromancy from the Soul of Wolnir?

Because I am scared that, if I go up to finishing the Catacombs of Carthus, I will fail Siegward questline (aka he will despawn), what can you advice me to do?

He is resistant to poison and toxic too unfortunately

Maybe if I do the Catacombs BEFORE doing the Cathedral of the Deep it will not cause Siegward to move from his spot near the Fire Demon? I'm trying to get the early Titanite Slab and imposed help for Yhorm, wouldn't want to have to use the Storm Ruler

He is not immune to fire, just highly resistant. You will make it!

PS just try to have his attention on you, Onion will do the rest.

u can just...infuse ur weapon with lightning with a resin and wait till Siegward joins u
and take him down together, he's easy

But isn't mob attention going toward the person (or NPC) doing the highest damage? Or the melee one?

Well, then maybe try to get his attention first, lure him a bit away so that he faces with his back to Onion, so that he can get a few easy swings in. I think Onion doesn't need many swings to kill it.

PS you can always kill yourself if you see it's not working and come back later with a black flame.

I'd assume a pyromancy only run requires only using their Pyromancy glove and the spells that are often attached.

If you are going full pyro, I guess you have a decent amount of int/faith already. IMO you should have enough damage for this fight to be viable.

Lure him to the ledge and let Onion-dude tank him from there, while you burn your FP from a safe distance (from the ledge too). Convert most of your Estus into Ashtus just in case.
