1. Travel to the Undead Settlement, the Dilapidated Bridge bonfire, and loot the ashes from the area where the giant shoots at you. Give this to the Shrine Handmaiden and buy the key it unlocks.
2. You must travel to Fireline Shrine and attack *but do not kill* all of the NPCs. Your goal is to get them all angry at you. Additionally, make sure you've killed the Shrine Handmaiden, oh, say, 10 times.
3. Travel to the Undead Settlement, and use the key to access the Shrine of Velka. Request absolution, and cleanse yourself of all your sins. The sheer amount of sins you've cleansed will earn you a hidden buff.
4. Go to the Archives rooftops, and drop down to where the Corvians are performing a ritual. Run into the middle of them, and use the Prostrate gesture. Wait for them to slaughter you.
5. Assume your final form: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcPOxkpfUoE
6. Return to the Anor Londo bonfire. Align the the rotating stair-bridge so that one of the bridge ends is more or less facing directly at that bonfire.
7. Use your newfound powers to walk across thin air towards the bonfire.
