Twinkling titanite and matchmaking
Does anyone know if twinking titanite counts as +2 or +3?

I've seen a version, where twinkling titanite weapons start as +1 and then each upgrade is +2

just talking out of my ass here, but since +5 should equal +10, I'd say it SHOULD be +2, from a logical standpoint. Then again, it still is a souls game...

twinkling titanites and titanite scales upgrades counts as two regular titanite uogrades for match making.

So a +4 boss weapon is equivalent to a +8 regular weapon.

And your knowledge comes from...? As I said - I've seen a table, where twinkling titanite weapon started as +1 and then each upgrade gave it +2.

I tested this, with a friend, a +0 weapon works with +0 without scaling down. A +1 works with +0 without scaling down. A +1 twinkling must then be equivalent to a +2 regular titanite (and no higher) if they follow the same +/- 2 scale for determining if you scale down or not.

Following that, a +2 = +4, +3 = +6, etc.

I'd think you'd trust testing it over "seeing a table"

It's call logic and common sense...which you obviously seem to neglect. A "table" does not equal fact. If I saw such table I'd call ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, because it makes absolutely zero sense that the devs would complicate ridiculously simple thing.

To be fair, many devs have done many things that "make absolutely zero sense" in the past. It wouldn't be too far for the system to be silly and off like that.

Be that as it may, trustin something that makes no senss just because it looks more official just screams willful ignorance.

Well, that's why the last time someone came asking about it I was like "well, that seems wrong but I don't KNOW it's wrong." And so I abducted a friend and did some tests.

A skeptical mind is a free mind.

Just noticing irony that someone, who is screaming "trust me, this solution is the only viable and logical!" says then "A skeptical mind is a free mind.". Internet. Funny place with funny people.
